PPHA Wins National Awards

Announced at the Powerhousing Conference on Thursday 20 March 2014, PPHA won two of the five national award categories for the community housing sector.

PPHA beat seven other nominees in the Leadership and Innovation category for the Ashwood Chadstone Gateway Project (ACGP).

The Award was presented by Sam Eisho, from SR Construction. Port Phillip's ACGP is Victoria's largest social housing project partnership between the State government and a registered Housing Association. ACGP is a game-changer for how depleted state-owned assets can be re-developed.

In the Outstanding Achievement Award, PPHA nominated Kerry Riches in recognition of her many years of dedicated service to her tenants, PPHA and the community housing sector.

Karen Barnett, CEO of PPHA, wrote:

"Whilst Kerry's job title may be Tenancy Officer, what she does is so much more. Kerry is always looking for ways to improve systems, but more importantly, she is always looking for ways to improve the lives of her tenants."

Kerry Riches (L) with her Outstanding Achievement Award and
